Support Staff Full-time New Position(Full-time Support Staff will be given first consideration)We get it. Copy writing can make the difference between a good campaign and a great campaign. If you have the ability to make words make sense to different target markets while telling a great story and the ability to make us stand out from the crowd, then we want to talk to you.Your responsibilities will include writing compelling copy for print and digital media (email, web/online, social media, advertising, videos, print DM) that is based upon campaign strategies. You will also speak to stakeholders throughout the college and share their stories to the world. If social media is a passion of yours, you will be creating content in alignment with the digital marketing team and posting on ThinkConestoga’s various platforms.Working in consultation with the Digital Marketing Strategist and the marketing team, you will share the Conestoga story primarily to prospective domestic-based students. Your voice will also be heard during team brainstorming sessions and our combined ideas will be brought to life.Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required.Responsibilities:
  • Develops campaign copy for digital marketing campaigns, social media posts, student recruitment materials, radio ads, flyer/newspaper ads, and website program and landing pages
  • Supports the development of ThinkConestoga social media platforms by providing and implementing relevant content that is engaging for the target audience
  • Liases with internal stakeholders including Faculty, Digital Marketing Strategist, Digital Media Officer, Student Recruitment team in the development of social media content
  • Assists with the planning, creation, development and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, including, but not limited to, identifying images, keywords, and copywriting
  • Plays a lead role in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing student enrolment among targeted populations
  • Develops campaign copywriting that will be used in a variety of marketing initiatives
  • Researches other college and school messaging to see where we can grow a competitive advantage
  • Collaborates with the Digital Media Officer to organize and plan photography and video shoots to obtain relevant assets for creative development
  • Analyzes campaign data and internal reports to make recommendations to optimize and improve campaigns
Qualifications:
  • Three-year Diploma or Degree in Diploma/degree in the areas of Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration/Management or related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience Working in a marketing role with experience writing copy, creating content and utilizing a variety of marketing media strategies
  • Experience working in a post-secondary education or advertising agency setting is an asset
  • Understands the value and role of content; ability to write, produce and align content with marketing and recruitment activities, campaigns and initiatives across all platforms
  • Fluent in social media and online marketing techniques, including lead generation, email marketing campaigns, PPC and SEO
  • Ability to work with a diverse groups of students, employees and the community
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Proven project management, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be self- disciplined and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and level of creativity
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship building skills
  • Self-starter, comfortable with establishing own priorities
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite an asset
  • Experience using and interpreting analytical tools like Google Analytics, Social Media analytic tools preferred
