Job Description

As a part-time Canine Coach you will work in our large and small dog playrooms. After your in-store training and receiving your certification you will be required to manage the play room by yourself with support from our Playroom Manager and other staff on site when needed.Dogs playing in the large dog playroom can weigh between 40-160lbs and are inclusive of all breeds.You will be responsible for managing a group of up to 30 dogs at one time for up to 8 hours at a time.This position requires open availability including mornings, afternoon, evenings, weekends and holidays.Previous experience and knowledge of dog behavior is an asset.The ability to work in our high energy, large room is required.To be considered for the position you must be comfortable working with a group of up to 30 dogs at one time. Comfortability with large breeds is a must.The ideal candidate possesses the following set of skills:

  • Able to manage a large group of dogs (up to 30)
  • Be confident with all sizes and breeds of dogs
  • Be physically fit to stand and be active up to 8 hours a day
  • Knowledgeable in dog body language
  • Clean throughout their shift
  • Be confident, calm and assertive
Additionally, the ideal candidate has previous experience in the pet industry such as daycare, boarding and training operations.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 10-20 per weekSalary: $15.00 per hourAdditional pay:
