Job Description

Job Title: General LabourerReports to: General ManagerWeekly hours of work: 30 – 40Location: 190 Goodrich, Kitchener, ON, N2C 2L3If you enjoy the fresh smell of bread, spontaneous employee appreciation freebies and plenty of physical activity to build your stamina - we have just the role for you!Position Summary:

  • Properly sort and stack trays of bread and bread product for shipment to end customer.
  • Load finished customer stacks onto trailers.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Unloading trucks and trays.
  • Sorting, picking and loading bread via roller trays.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Follow rules and regulations to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Maintain and establish effective working relationships.
  • Follow detailed instructions accurately.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • English literacy, elementary level
  • Computer skills, beginner level.
  • Experience as a warehouse worker is a plus but not necessary.
  • Teamwork oriented and positive attitude.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend and lift.
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Frequently exposed to humid conditions and may be exposed to high temperatures during the summer months. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Hours of Work5-day work schedule. Saturdays and Tuesdays off.Afternoon shift openings – 2:00PM - 10:30PMYou will be scheduled approximately 30+ hours per week. The end times may vary.Starting rate - $20.406 months - $20.701 year - $21.00Note: this facility does not have and does not require forklift machines.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $20.40 per hourSchedule:
