Job Description

AirBoss of America Corp. develops, manufactures and markets high-quality, proprietary rubber-based products to various industries, including automotive, heavy industry, construction and infrastructure, oil & gas, and defense. For more information go to www.airbossofamerica.com. Responsibilities • Is a safety advocate; lead by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.

  • Ability to follow a step by step process to support the overall production of high quality rubber compound. • The Mill Operator will be responsible for the milling and blending of the compounds and the sheeting of the compounds to the customer specifications. Will monitor the process as the compound is sheeted off the mill and passes through the conveyor system, dip tank, and cooling rack on its way to the Piler. • The Piler will be responsible to prepare the pallet, crate, gaylord, etc., as per the Finishing/Shipping Specification.
Check the Finishing/Shipping Specification on the production schedule for the specific packaging instructions. e.g. type of skid or pallet, required sampling and packaging, and proper width and thickness. The Piler is responsible for the last Quality Control inspection.
  • The Scale Operator will be responsible to weigh up the materials as required and keep the conveyor full to feed. Will assist other operators in the verification of the scales. • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment. • Following detailed instructions to meet quality standards.
  • Ensuring safety requirements are met at all times. • Working as a team to achieve department and company targets. • Learning various tasks and demonstrating flexibility to support various production associates as required. Specific Skills Required • Ability to lift up to 50lbs • Ability to continental shifts; two weeks days two weeks nights • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to follow and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices • Strong ability to listen and follow instructions • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Motivated and positive attitude • Forklift Certification is an asset Compensation • Starting wage - $21.75/ hour • Continental Shift - 12 hours, rotation 7-7 • Overtime Opportunities • Extended Health Care and Dental Benefits • Health Care Spending Account • RRSP Matching Program • Company Events
