AECOM ’s ecology team is looking for applicants for the position of a Junior Terrestrial Ecologist to support our existing activities and to grow our capacity to serve clients. This will be based in Kitchener, ON.The successful candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience, be highly motivated and enjoy working on a diversity of projects, is an effective communicator and is committed to producing high quality work.Individuals should have experience conducting biological inventories, such as: terrestrial vegetation surveys, wetland evaluations, wildlife surveys, breeding bird surveys, Species at Risk habitat screenings, and reptile/amphibian surveys. Writing and other communication skills, organizational skills and an ability to work well on multi-disciplinary teams, are essential qualities.The position will involve working with project managers to provide support on environmental investigations including baseline studies, environmental impact assessments, conservation and reclamation plans, species at risk permitting and mitigation plans and related scopes of work.
