We are now expecting to hire an experienced Merchandise Purchasing Manager to join our fast-growing company and be a valuable member of our team. If you want the challenge of helping a company grow into something special, then this opportunity is for you.Key Responsibilities: 1. Plan and manage daily product purchasing activities from contracted manufacturers and suppliers according to inventory needs and purchasing trends.2. Establish and implement purchasing policies and procedures and control the purchasing budget to achieve annual targets.3. Identify and source vendors focusing on cost, quality, capacity and reliability.4. Evaluate the merchandises’ quality and oversee the cost of purchased products based on the company’s product specifications and requirements.5. Negotiate purchasing contracts with suppliers in terms of costs, terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.6. Manage and resolve any issues regarding invoices, contracts default, and purchase order disputes.7. Network and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, and search potential suppliers and vendors.8. Interview, hire and coach new purchasing officers as required, and evaluate their performance.9. Direct and attend weekly department meetings.Qualifications & Skills: 1. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or economics is required.2. At least five years’ experience in full-cycled purchasing activities.3. Personnel management is crucial to this position.4. Solid knowledge and extensive experience dealing with vendors and suppliers.5. Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude across all levels of activity and communication both with the company and the suppliers.6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills are preferred.7.
