Postal Mail ClerkGarden River First Nation Education UnitKitchener, ONFull Time$15.05 An HourCompany Summary:According to the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada Secondary Education National Program Guidelines, Garden River First Nation receives funding to provide students living on-reserve. The Garden River First Nation Education Unit, in accordance with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), has developed these operating guidelines. The creation of this booklet is to provide the community with written procedures and policies followed by the Education Unit.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides superior and efficient customer service
  • Answers inquiries and resolves customer complaints regarding our postal services
  • Ensures loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to guidelines
  • Controls cash, money order, and stamp inventory in accordance with prescribed cash handling policies and procedures
  • Maintains proper security of cash and mail
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as required including Cash duties
Qualifications:
  • Planning, Judgement and Decision Making
  • Problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Plan work to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
  • Troubleshoot cash and tally differences
  • Experience with registration and postal authorization issues
