Job Description

We have an opening in our Kitchener production group. This person will report to the local production supervisor and join a team of 8 to 10 people. The group produces cutting dies for customers across Canada and the United States and also supports engineers and other office staff in Kitchener.Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assist in pricing and provide quotes to customers
  • Create and analyze basic 2D CAD files used for quoting and production
  • Assist in production scheduling, procurement activities, prepare shipping documentation
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and production staff to support R&D
  • Create sales orders and monitor progress of orders to ensure deadlines are met
The skills required for the position are:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for interacting with customers, engineering, and production staff
  • General computer knowledge and ability to learn basic CAD skills
  • Ability to operate automated equipment
  • Work well in a group
  • Responsible, punctual and overall positive attitude
