If you have a passion for excellence, and would like to work for Corus Entertainment, we encourage you to apply.Promotions Manager, Kitchener & GuelphDivision: RadioWork Status: Full-time 13 month maternity leave contractLocation: Kitchener & Guelph, Option for combination of onsite and remote/work from homeCorus Radio has an exciting opportunity for a full-time maternity leave contract as Promotions Manager in Kitchener/Guelph overseeing promotions and marketing for 91.5 the Beat, 107.5 Dave Rocks, Magic 106.1 and 1460 CJOY. Reporting to the National Director of Marketing and Promotions, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing station promotions, marketing efforts, and sales promotions.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating engaging station and sales promotions
  • Develop and manage multi-platform promotions and marketing plans, strategy, and budget, utilizing external and internal assets
  • Liaise with creative and social teams on production of marketing and promotional assets, including writing creative briefs and overseeing production
  • Work closely with various areas of the business to cross promote and build integration opportunities
  • Manage and motivate a team in Kitchener/Guelph
  • Work closely with the Program Directors and Program Managers on priorities, and determining and meeting business/ratings objectives. Liaise with Promotions Managers in other markets, as required.
  • Lead and develop strategic partnerships and external events and experiences i.e. concerts, festivals, special exclusive performances/experiences, charity initiatives, community and sporting events
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Radio or media background
  • Experience leading promotions/marketing activities
  • Experience supervising staff and cultivating a positive environment
  • Ability to lead and execute stand-out promotions and marketing campaigns on all platforms
  • Creative thinker with big ideas and equally skilled in execution
  • A positive attitude with a passion to want to win
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • At ease multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong social media knowledge and skills
  • Full driver’s license
  • Experience working with talent an asset
  • Availability for weekend and evening activities as required in both Kitchener and Guelph
