Job Description

Main functions:

  • Responsible for the successful management of the store
Duties:Maximize Sales
  • Manage in store sales
  • Proactively develop business. For example: local industries, manufacturers, restaurants, cafeterias, gyms, hospitals, medical centers for appropriate footwear
Manage Staff and Staff Experience
  • Follow staff structure for store levels employees
  • Meet with staff individually and as a team, organize and
  • Onboard, coach, and develop staff. Discipline and terminate staff following company progressive discipline policy
  • Create staffing schedules and ensure store is properly staffed
  • Approve hours for payroll, meet staffing budget
  • Evaluate staff and conduct performance reviews and compensation meetings
  • Provide health and safety training
  • Implement staff contests (vendor and Company sponsored)
  • Set up Product Knowledge (PK) sessions and track attendance
  • All other staffing responsibilities
Customer Experience
  • Overall Responsibility for providing customers with an excellent in-store customer experience
  • Ensuring staff are trained to assist customers
  • Handle customer inquiries online or in store
Buying Assistance
  • Provide recommendations to buying team based on in store feedback from staff, customers, and sell through reports
Stock
  • Overseeing deliveries, returns, defectives
  • Receiving into inventory, tagging, providing receiving reports
  • Weekly transfers between stores
  • Mark downs according to approved lists
  • Attend inventory counts and reconcile differences between what was counted and our records
  • Assist and coordinate seasonal merchandising of sales floor
  • Keep store: Well merchandised, clean, and tidy
Operational responsibilities
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures followed each day
  • Deposit cash to bank
  • Assist in reconciling monthly cash reports
  • Order store supplies as needed
Competitors
  • Monitor competitors for pricing, brands, and styling
Community Service
  • Collect and deliver used shoes to a local not-for-profit targeted at assisting the local under-privileged
Reporting
  • Prepare Weekly Sales Sheet
  • Prepare Monthly Report
  • Load traffic stats as required
  • Prepare other reports as required
Working conditions:
  • Full time
  • 40 hour / week (excludes 30 minutes lunch break)
  • Hours may include evenings and / or weekends

  • Completion of a University degree or College diploma
  • Previous managerial responsibilities
  • Proficient spoken and written English,
  • Strong analytical / numeric skills

  • Courteous with staff and the public
  • Strong computer skills (Gmail, Calendars, Excel, Word)
  • Access to car / Drivers License
  • Standing for long period of time
  • Lifting of up to 40 lbs. when required
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $42,000.00-$59,114.74 per yearBenefits:
