Headquartered in Kitchener, ON, Canada, Avidbots offers comprehensive service and support to customers in 5 continents.This role will have the option to be hybrid working in our headquarters for a minimum of 3 days each week!How you will make a difference

  • Execute strategic sourcing activities and bring best value for money to organization
  • Manage end to end sourcing life cycle for material and services
  • Conduct detailed analysis of various materials to lay out the strategic direction for sourcing
  • Conduct research to bring up-to-date market knowledge, industry trends, and innovation to identify the new vendors and build relationships with them.
  • Drive best total value by working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure synergy with business needs, favorable terms and conditions, risk mitigation and required service level agreements that drive continuous improvement and cost management
  • Represent strategic sourcing as a subject matter expert on key categories for material and services
  • Participate in cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal stakeholders
The chosen candidate will work on our purchasing team and engage in strategic sourcing as a departmental liaison and generalist to assist in optimizing operational functions. The ideal candidate is strategic, has a high attention to detail, eager to both learn and transfer knowledge with other team members.This is an individual contributor reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.Preferred qualifications and key skills
  • Demonstrates excellent communications skills (verbal & written)
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic
  • Experience in a similar role would be an asset
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong problems solving skills
Minimum qualifications
  • 2+ years working experience in a Strategic Sourcing environment
  • Knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes and best practices, sourcing tools and programs, basic legal terms & conditions
  • Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search
