Job Description

MTD PRODUCTS LIMITEDPOSITION DESCRIPTIONJob Title: SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYSTDepartment: DEMANDReports To: DEMAND MANAGERSUMMARYResponsible to plan the forecast requirements of whole goods to support our customer demands. The analyst works extensively with the forecasting system to improve service levels and maintain inventory efficiencies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Use historical and sales assumption information to establish and maintain system generated forecasts by item in our JDA Demand Forecasting software system.
  • Analyze demand patterns and changes to maintain deliverables and inventory measurable.
  • Make adjustments to stock levels based on customer demands.
  • Coordinate with the Demand Manager in the development and maintenance of monthly/annual reporting to support Global Corporate Demand and Supply measurement guidelines.
  • Assist in resolving any warehouse/logistics related issues and concerns.
  • Recommend process improvements to prevent out of stock and excess inventory situations.
  • Schedule/Co-ordinate monthly meetings to review demand and inventory levels.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to identify sales opportunities and forecast.
  • Interface with Sales and Customer Service Department to support Retail customer Forecast Management and information requirements. Manage and actively plan to Seasonal Forecast timelines to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
  • Assist with department reporting and continuous improvement of processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Support development and analysis of KPI reporting alongside our operational departments to support improved operational results and efficiencies.
  • Perform new item set up in appropriate systems
  • Fully analyze the life cycle of parts in conjunction with whole goods. Develop and execute a plan to decrease parts inventory to align with ending life cycle of whole goods.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCECollege diploma in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or related field; 1 - 2 years experience working in a retail supply chain environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A basic working knowledge of the Infor XA OS or similar ERP system is advisable. JDA (Experience/Exposure) Forecasting Systems considered an asset.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsREASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSN/AOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESComputer skills - basics in Windows, Outlook, MS Office. Detail oriented.
