Job Description

Reports to: Service Manager/Fixed Operations ManagerSummaryThis position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance to vehicles in an accurate and timely fashion, ensuring that the quality of the repair will foster long-term customer satisfaction, thereby encouraging repeat and referral business.Duties and Responsibilities· Performs repairs on vehicles as assigned.· Performs vehicle inspections and assessments including diagnosis issues.· Documents all work performed to Manufacturer standards and/or recommended on the repair order.· Road tests vehicles as required.· Ensures that customer cars are kept clean.· Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy.· Attends all training courses as requested by service management.· Assists in training and supervising apprentice technicians.· Shuttles vehicles into and out of service area.· Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.· Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.· Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.· Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness.Skills and Qualifications

  • Automotive service technician trade certification to meet provincial requirements.
  • Maintains all relevant Licences and Qualifications to perform duties.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical repairs and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Safety Standards concerning the performance and area of position responsibility.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission is required for this role.
  • Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $29.00-$30.00 per hourAdditional pay:
