Job Description

Scarlet Securityamp; Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking Full-time Security Guards to join our team in Kitimat, British Columbia. Successful applicants will provide security services to a large and dynamic work site, including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access control, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, lodge security, assistance with emergency response, and security of waterfront and port areaAbout Us:SSRG is one of Canada #39;s leading security companies. Our diverse and highly qualified team members and relentless commitment to excellence provide superior results for our clients.Duties Include:

  • Maintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues, and site workers
  • Access control/intrusion detection of site, accommodation, waterfront and port area
  • Monitoring site activities, detecting suspicious occurrences and providing detailed written incident reports
  • Mobile and foot patrols of assigned areas
  • Recording daily activities, completing access and administrative forms, and issuing or checking site access badges
  • Monitoring access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems
  • Emergency response dispatch and team communications via radio
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid British Columbia Security License (applicants from outside of BC must obtain)
  • Valid FULL Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Driver #39;s Abstract
  • Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test (SSRG will arrange)
  • Must be able to pass criminal record check and credit check
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Willingness to work both day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as required
  • Must be able to work in proximity to alcohol (be posted to/respond to incidents in the site lounge)
Additional Information:
  • Full uniform provided including PPE. applicants need to provide their own black, 6 inch CSA approved safety boots (boot allowance provided).
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
