Gitwangak Education Society (GES) invites resume packages for a full-time-After School Tutor for grade 8- 10 students and Grade 11-12This is a full-time appointment from September 2021 – March 2022.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Have (but not limited to) a BC teaching Certificate in good standing; or letter of permissionProfessional development certificatesExperience in tutoring high school students in a variety of subjectsRelated Experience:Tutoring all subjects to grade 11 to 12 studentsPromote high expectations and academic achievement for all students in a safe and nurturing environmentTo assist the students in achieving their current grade levelAbility to incorporate innovative ideas and creativity in the classroomDifferentiates curriculum expectations and teaching strategies to meet the needs of all studentsMust have exceptional Computer Skills and knowledge of computer programsManage student behaviour in the classroom incorporating school-wide rules and discipline policyExperience and knowledge with special needs studentsBe a team player and work with all staff in a positive manner and provide support as neededExceptional inter-personal skills and particularly those related to parent/community involvementResponsible for creating weekly snack menu, purchasing food/drinks weekly, cooking snacks dailyPlease mail/ e-mail: cover letter, resume, BC Teaching Certificate, certificates, references, Criminal Record and supporting documents to:Gitwangak Education Society, Attn: Lesley MorganP.O.
