We are currently looking to fill a term position of a Continuous Improvement Co-op student working with our Continuous Improvement Team.As part of the Procurement Continuous Improvement team, focused on Supply Chain Management (SCM), the Coop student will work alongside the Continuous Improvement engineer and Business Analysts to identify and harness improvement opportunities in the business processes within and across the procurement division.Opportunity:

  • Learn the function of a large procurement team focused on customer service, process improvement and best practices.
  • Work with the latest tools in data analytics and associated data visualizations (Oracle, Tableau)
  • Expand your knowledge on evidence-based decision making and data driven processes.
  • Obtain highly valued understanding of project management and Lean concepts with opportunities to practice them in a dynamic working environment.
Accountabilities:
  • Work with business representatives and subject matter experts on process review and analytics to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Develop standards, training, and communication documentation with direction from the Continuous Improvement Engineer.
  • Conduct basic data analysis and assessment of data quality.
  • Analytics and creation of dashboards and reporting frameworks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-4 years of post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering or Business.
  • High interest in analytics, business intelligence and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter; must be able to meet deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with Excellent organizational skills, with good problem-solving approach.
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills.
