The incumbent will support building the department as a brand within Sysco by creating and maintaining documentation, communications, training and/or demonstration sessions, managing user security and other similar tasks. This role will be important to keep the team coordinated and keep individual branches running smoothly as well as keep users informed and educated about what is happening and how the Analytics team can be supportive.Role Responsibilities:

  • Communication (60%)
    • Maintain and expand Metrics Dictionary
    • Create and manage report Glossaries in a standardized format
    • Host regular demonstrations of reports and analytics. Train users.
    • Ownership of Business Services quarterly newsletter.
    • Assist Team Leaders with project management and task assignments
    • Liaise with MDM Data Governance on emerging data cleansing needs.
    • Assist management of Sysco Canada Analytics Network
    • Issue department communications and bulletins.
  • Reporting Portal (30%)
    • Full ownership of ZenOptics, our Analytics reporting portal and catalog system
    • Includes management of users, reports, and all components of the system.
    • Monitor system performance, recommend improvements.
    • Report on usage trends, identify obsolete reports, report duplications.
    • Maintain report keywords and search functions.
  • User Maintenance (10%)
    • Manage user access and security to all team-owned platforms (SCED, ZenOptics, Cognos, Tableau, SharePoint)
    • Manage reporting distribution lists.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • One (1+) year of relevant administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in teaching or training is an asset.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or related field is an asset.
  • Experience with Project Management software (Jira)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Expert communication skills, both verbal and written and can serve as an “analytic translator”.
  • Ability to pick up and self-learn new software quickly.
  • Has a proven productivity track record while working remotely, with minimal supervision
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments
