Examples of SKU enrichment data would include product grouping categorization, marketing quality images, product certifications, videos, attributes, marketing verbiage etc. This role also includes project work required to maintain consistency to our item database across Canada.Role Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:

  • Perform review of item data to ensure accurate product classification to help our customer facing search engines.
  • Perform the vetting and approval of item enrichment data uploaded by the vendor into a new supplier data and relationship management platform.
  • Update supplier portal with Unabbreviated Item Description for new item setups. Coordinate with French translation team for translation of all applicable English Enrichment data.
  • Review data and work with subject matter experts/business stewards within the company to determine proper enrichment item data set up for existing data. Create/maintain SOPs, rules, policies, standards for item enrichment data.
  • Work on mass uploads of enrichment data to new supplier portal.
  • Act as a focal point for item enrichment data queries and requests from sales and other site associates.
  • Perform user setup and access privilege management for the supplier suite.
  • Collaborate with GS1 and other functional areas for ensuring that the item enrichment master data is properly setup as per process and meets standards.
  • Contribute creative and innovative continual improvements to the data set setup and enrichment process.
  • Work with our various data query tools and IT to run reporting showing existing data setups and differences across operating companies
  • Review data and work with subject matter experts within the company to determine proper master data set up for all existing data
  • Work on data enrichment projects
  • Perform backup activities for MDM item team as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business
  • Minimum five (5+) years job related experience in Data Management and Business Analysis
  • Technical knowledge on existing Sysco systems in Finance or Merchandising is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel (Expert level), and Outlook as well as Cognos (or any major reporting software), AS400 and Internet applications
  • Ability to think conceptually, strategically, and creatively with little direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have robust collaboration skills, effective follow-up, and excellent team player attitude
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented, a fast learner, and can handle multiple tasks.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset
  • Supply Chain or Marketing skills is an asset
