These includes supporting new business opportunities as well as penetration opportunities within existing customers. Leading with customer first objectives as well as ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through multiple customer value added services.Role Responsibilities:

  • Sets goals and objectives of sales and profit strategies for specific market segments
  • Identifies with current and potential market growth opportunities within Site and Regional markets
  • Works closely with local merchandising to collaborate on product assortment to meet the needs of segment customers
  • Acts as a source of information for Sales Consultants (OSR), Key Account Representatives, and Local Sales Leadership targeting specific segment opportunities
  • Supports a culture of customer first, value-added services such as Business Resources, Marketing, and Business Builders
  • Utilizes CRM tool (Sysco 360) as communication and measurement tool
  • Stay’s well-informed of trends impacting the specific market business, evaluates and reports on competitive activities
  • Understand the key aspects of core Sysco brands and sourced products and their potential within the specific segment marketplace
  • Collaborates with Directors of Business Resources and Marketing Managers on segment Marketing strategies, food showcase participation, workshops, other industry related activities and is involved with community associations
  • Contributes to regional department sales meetings, as scheduled and participates in other activities as requested
  • Presents and updates regularly on segment deliverables to Regional Executive leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years + related Food & Beverage, Food Services, or Consumer Goods industry experience required
  • Completion of post-secondary education
  • Strong knowledge of the specific market segment culture and the Food Service environment
  • A strong leader of people, working across functional departments
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, business writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to manage pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues
  • Proactive learner of segment trends impacting the specific markets
  • Strong understanding of cultural differences and needs related to specific market foods.
  • Excellent communication skills (English & specific market language) required
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required
  • Bilingualism is an asset
