This role will collaboratively work with all levels of leadership to fill vacancies, optimize candidate and hiring leader experiences and provide a diverse slate of diverse top talent. This individual will be a strong ambassador for the employer brand and be a champion for diversity aligned to our corporate values.Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute full life-cycle recruitment for corporate roles including, providing a focused and effective sourcing strategy, a consistent interview process and assessment approach in recruitment and selection.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies (sourcing, selecting, and branding), effectively utilizing social media, professional and social networking sites to attract talent.
  • Conduct high volume candidate resume screening, phone screening, provide guidance and recommendations to hiring manager on candidates interviewed, tracking the success of applicants through the recruitment process and drafting offer letters.
  • Presenting offers to successful candidates, effectively influence passive candidates to pursue opportunities within Sysco, negotiate job offers and effectively overcome objections.
  • Ensuring Sysco Canada’s process, policies and all applicable legislation is followed consistently. Works with key stakeholders to fulfill workforce staffing documentation (e.g. Hiring authorizations, offer letters, etc.), works with candidates to fulfill hiring documentation (e.g. reference checks, new hire forms, etc.).
  • Responsible for data entry of new hire, ensure the integrity and accuracy of HRIS data.
  • Conducts new hire orientation to ensure successful onboarding of all new hires. Follows up to ensure a successful onboarding of every new hire (30, 60, 90-day survey, policy completion, etc.).
  • Actively promote Sysco as an Employer of Choice and support organizational initiatives to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Build and maintain proactive partnerships with stakeholder to establish trust and credibility.
  • Drive recruiting strategies that continually replenish candidate pipelines based on market conditions and current and projected engagements/needs.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with a focus on high volume recruitment.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources.
  • CHRP or equivalent is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Local laws and regulations.
  • Expert with MS Office Suite, HRIS programs, recruitment platforms and social media.
  • The ability to problem-solve, multi-task and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency, while working in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information effectively, while maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures as well as provincial laws regarding employment practices and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate and present findings in a succinct and professional manner.
  • Strong work ethic, a high respect for confidentiality and sound professional judgment and initiative.
  • Strong accountability and responsibility to meet deadlines.
