We are currently looking to fill the position of Supervisor, Permit Centre.Accountabilities: The successful candidate will join the Transmission, Distribution & Delivery team of dedicated professionals, whose objective is to exceed our customer’s expectations in delivering reliable and cost-effective energy and services. The Supervisor, Permit Centre is responsible for the management and supervision of a team of 15 frontline Permit Associates. You will be required to lead, support and motivate members of a Permits team who are responsible to provide a positive Permit and Inspections customer experience.Specific responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling of Permit Associates
  • Performance management of Permit Team members (conducting regular quality and productivity reviews)
  • Identifying and supporting training needs of employees and assisting in the development and execution of personal development plans
  • Responsible for managing customer escalations and dealing with Electrician’s issues
  • Support business initiatives that contribute to customer service and corporate goals
  • Participate on process improvement initiatives that include/impact the Permit Center processes
  • Work closely and foster relationships with Meter and Inspections Services (MIS), Sackville Resource Management Centre (RMC), MIS Resource Management Centre, Billing, Operational IT, and Customer Care
You will work flexible hours totaling 40 hr/week within an 11 hour, 5 days/week operation. You will be part of a standby rotation for after hours RMC support coordination and you must be available for storm response and after hour emergency service restoration.You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.Skills, Capabilities and Experience: Grade 12 education or equivalent with 5 years contact centre and 3 years supervisory experience is required. Preference will be given to those applicants with customer service experience. Knowledge of utility and permit operations would be an asset.You are detail oriented, have strong computer skills, and the ability to multitask. You have strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills. You demonstrate excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers. You are a high energy, self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.
