Job Type: Summer – May-AugustClose Date: Dec. 3/22Salary Range: CompetitiveDescription: North Point Agronomy is a privately owned company located one hour northeast of Edmonton in Lamont County. We specialize in field scouting, soil sampling and solid agronomic advice for an established client base. Our goal is to be the expert in our customer’s fields by identifying and recording observations and making recommendations so action can be taken maximize the profitability for each client. The necessary equipment and training will be provided to ensure you are able to represent the company at the highest standard.Responsibilities: · Inspect farmers’ fields and record crop staging, weeds, insects, diseases and other observations· Clearly communicate observations to the manager· Play an important role in field scouting services offered to help farmers make timely, informed and economical field decisions· Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including (but not limited to) ATV’s, and pulling trailers· Other duties as requiredQualifications: · Strong interest and knowledge of Agriculture· Punctual, reliable and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time under all weather conditions· Exceptional interpersonal and organization skills, ability to complete work targets with little or no supervision in a timely manner, self-motivated· A valid Class 5 driver’s license· Strong communication and interpersonal skills· Education includes (but not limited to) Students or graduates of an Agriculture degree or diploma program focusing on Agronomy, Plant Science or Soil Science· Agriculture background is considered an asset but not requiredJob Types: Full-time, ContractSchedule:
