Job Description

SummaryThe Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Maintenance Cell Lead, will primarily be responsible to ensure building and grounds maintenance, waste reduction, quality and safety is taken care of with high standards of workmanship and efficiency. Must work well with minimal supervision.Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Two to three years of experience in Maintenance environment

Accountabilities
  • Diagnose and repair problems related to buildings, equipment and grounds
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating and equipment/supply standards and in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain customer service standards. Respond to requests and work to minimize problems and complaints; follow-through to ensure issue is resolved
  • Apply all applicable company Policies and Procedures such as, but not limited to, company operating and safety standards
  • Promote safe work practices among on-site staff
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, OH&S regulations, building codes and environmental laws and regulations
  • Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks
  • Operate equipment related to grounds keeping and building maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Conditions
  • Extended periods of stooping, bending, and kneeling
  • Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
  • Use of required personal protective equipment
  • Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery or equipment
  • Extended periods of standing and other physically demanding conditions
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 lbs
