Job Description

The Granite Club is looking for a Program Instructor responsible for providing creative and innovative quality programs to Members’ children.Benefits of working for the Club

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent care of children, ensuring that a safe play area is maintained.
  • Set-up room with appropriate equipment for the program.
  • Provide monthly program plans, specific to the program, that encourage creative, social and gross motor skills development.
  • Provide snacks and refreshments to children ensuring a nut free environment is maintained while being familiar of all participants dietary restrictions
  • Attend monthly program meetings and give session feedback to Supervisor.
  • Remove and report any damaged or unsafe toys, games and equipment to the Child Activities Supervisor
  • Ensure a clean, neat and sanitary environment.
  • Complete attendance record and inform the Child Activities Supervisor of any non-registered participants that need to be registered.
  • Handle general inquiries and program registration.
  • Provide daily updates to the Child Activities Supervisor.
  • Participate in all staff meetings.
  • Establish positive relationships with parents
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum grade 12
  • ECA/ECE Certification or equivalency or working towards ECA/ECE Certification preferred
  • Experience working with children (infants, toddlers and preschool ages) essential.
  • First Aid and C.P.R. certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
