We currently have the following opportunity available out of Stouffville, Ontario,location.Position Name Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) CoordinatorJob Code HSEQCO- 012022Department Health, Safety, Environment & Quality# of Positions 1Closing Date January 17, 2022Working Conditions Temporarily remote with occasional site visits and office attendanceJob OverviewThis position is responsible for promoting a culture of workplace health, safety, and wellness, as well as a corporatestandard of excellence in quality. The HSEQ Coordinator will be a subject matter expert providing support, advice, andguidance to business units with respect to health, safety and quality activities and environmental programs.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor environment, health and safety systems including associated programs and
procedures.
  • Assists in, audits and risk assessments including but not limited to facilitating and reviewing completed
inspections, incidents and hazards, good catches and Covid-19 assessments
  • Conduct, support and participate in incident investigation and disability management provisions
  • Manage monthly safety meeting presentations and Health & Safety Bulletins and Alerts
  • Manage client platforms (i.e. ISN, Avetta, etc.) and coordinate with various department and division to ensure
documents are accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Perform monthly financial processing of information for HSEQ (timesheets, Visa statements etc.)
  • Conduct data analysis, prepare various reports, proposals, and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring and revising programs and procedures associated with
environment, health and safety systems and facilitates action plans throughout the organization
  • Assists with maintaining corporate certification of ISO 9001 & 45001 standards including scheduling, co-
ordinating with the auditors and business and support departments
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation by keeping current with
best practices, legislation changes and trends in the health, safety and environmental industry.
  • Leads, manages and/or support multiple client assignments and associated projects including those involving
internal and external resources.Qualifications and Requirements
  • University degree or diploma related in Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or
related field and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Coordinator/Administrator in a construction industry.
  • 1+ years of experience related to environmental, health and safety
  • Previous experience with IS0 9001, ISO 45001, ISN, Avetta and Contractor Compliance is an asset
  • Completion or working towards a Certified Utility Safety Professional Designation (CUSP) and/or National
Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is an asset.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation preferred
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in interpretation and application of Occupational Health
and Safety Act (OSHA), Environmental Protection Act, and other related legislations and regulations
  • Knowledge of Utility policies and practices and other legislations and bylaws pertaining to electricity industry
and personnel.
  • Ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience with the development, implementation and monitoring of an environment, health,
and safety management system.
  • Certificate in Environmental Health and Safety preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with the development, implementation and monitoring of an environment, health,
and safety management system.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite is required
