Doors for Home and IndustryShirley DixonPersonal Assistant to Managing DirectorSenior ManagementProduction Team Leader Phone +44 1530 513002Fax +44 1530 513092E-Mail s.dixon.lei@hormann.co.uk09/11/2022Hörmann UK are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader based in our Operations Department.The Production Team Leader will provide guidance & leadership in the successful production of onepiece up and over garage doors, and sectional modified doors.Key Responsibilities:

  • To work in conjunction with the Production Manager and maintain a high-quality output of 1
piece up and over garage doors, and sectional doors without detriment to the businessesQuality Policy.
  • To motivate & develop team members to meet production targets while still retaining a hands-
on approach.
  • To ensure effective use of staff.
  • To assist in employee training when required.
  • To report any product defects in a timely manner to the appropriate business personalities.
  • To intervene when necessary to resolve any staff issues.
  • To keep the management team informed of any problems arising with plant and machinery.
  • To work closely with the Warehousing & Logistics Team regarding the movement of panels &
finished product(s).
  • To understudy for the Production Manager in their absence.
  • To help with aspects of Modified in the Team Leaders Absence.
  • To ensure Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure the businesses Health & Safety policies are followed and that suitable procedures are
in place to minimise Health & Safety risk.
  • To ensure that correct PPE is being used and remains fit for use, by all employees working on
the Production Lines.
  • To ensure all Production areas are kept clear of obstructions and that the Production Teams
follow the 5S Principles.1/2Personal Attributes:
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to manage staff in a variety of situations.
  • Ability and focus to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • An organised team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement.
  • Be able to communicate with multiple relationships at different levels both verbally and
written.
  • Possess a good understanding and have the ability to promote Quality, Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrate competent IT Skills (Office 365)
