YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.Responsibilities of this role:• You are fun, enthusiastic and a great role model

  • Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families,
providing excellent service and building meaningful relationships
  • Implement YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum with the support of your leader
  • Plan and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate program of activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff
• Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained accordingto licensing and YMCA requirementsQualifications:• Must be 19 years of age
  • Responsible Adult certification, equivalent child related training or a willingness to obtain
training (at least 20 hours of training)
  • Current Child Care First Aid, CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain
  • Three professional references (two references pertaining to child care or supervision)
  • Current immunization record and TB testing compliance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search
