Job Description

**PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A NON-STUDENT, FULL-TIME POSITION**Job descriptionAs a member of the store’s merchandising team, the associate is responsible for setting up the weekly in-store promotions and ensuring that the feature area is clean, full and priced.Customer Service

  • Maintains a culture that values excellent customer service to all customers
  • Provides an excellent customer experience
  • Follows store policies and procedures that deliver a high quality customer experience
  • Works as a team with other departments to provide an excellent customer experience.
Operations
  • Executes the weekly deals and ensures the promotional items are placed and priced appropriately in the feature areas.
  • Communicates any product shortages prior to the deal to the General Manager
  • Identifies location of all promotional products in the feature area for all staff
  • Ensures that all feature areas are topped up, faced and ready for business
  • Maintains the feature ends, side panels and platform displays by replenishing as required
  • Participates in training
  • Completes other tasks, as required.
Physical Demands and Working ConditionsIn compliance with the store’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures:
  • Standing/walking for 8 hours.
  • Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy”.
  • Lifting and turning repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Lifting above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist.
  • Walking and carrying at the same time and pushing/pulling as required.
  • Twisting, turning, reaching and working above shoulder level.

  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • merchandising: 1 year (preferred)
