Job Description

Job Summary This position is responsible for securing Aphria Diamond premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and controlling entry. Security personnel prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the facility is secure by conducting facility patrols and documenting your findings using the corresponding paperwork
  • Act in accordance with the security policies, protocols, and procedures in place
  • Communicate important security information with the head of security and the rest of the security team by utilizing the security communication log
  • Responsible for coaching and enforcing health and safety standards throughout the facility
  • Observe and report irregularities, incidents, safety hazards, security breaches, and alarm sound offs to your supervisor
  • Practice attention to detail while monitoring security surveillance systems
  • Ensure staff are following proper quality standards and tag in procedures by coaching staff to scan employee tags prior to entry of every door
Qualifications
  • One or more years of experience in a security role preferred
  • Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License and/or Private Investigator License
  • Must possess an Ontario Driver’s License.
  • Must be able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, including 12-hour shifts
  • The successful applicant(s) will be asked to provide a current general police clearance.
