Job Description

Monogastric Nutrition Production CoordinatorYou will love being a part of our team! You’ll be a part of an entire organization that will never be satisfied with the status quo and will always be looking for ways to improve and be more efficient while taking care of the customer.The RoleThe Monogastric Nutrition and Production Coordinator is accountable to provide strong support to our monogastric customers and sales team membersdaily formulation requests and updates and disseminate production-related technical materials. As a key team member, you will assist COF as they build customer loyalty and help to revolutionize the feed industry in Western Canada. The Monogastric Nutrition and Production Coordinator will work with a team of people who “do the right thing” for customers.Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Complete formula changes as requested by consultants in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
  • Support relationships between the Formulation team, technical resources and COF sales consultants.
  • Assist in the development of monogastric production guidelines, technical bulletins and training modules.
  • Evaluate on-farm production records; identify concerns, trends and needs for action.
  • Create and maintain plants within formulation software.
  • Support the updates to ingredient nutrient profiles and pricing.
  • Create and re-analyze formulations according to animal performance requirements.
  • Assist in formula set-up for internal and toll manufacturing facilities.
  • According to current regulations, assist in compliant feed label creation, updating as required.
  • Assist in the development of a broiler breeder production database.
  • Provide problem-solving solutions to support customers as needed.
  • Display honesty, integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions.
  • Focus on project completion in a timely fashion to support COF business goals and strategies.
  • Passionate about creating Happy Customers by “Keeping It Simple” and “Doing the Right Thing” for both customers, MTJF and COF.
  • Other duties are required and assigned
Skills & Experience Required
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently while also being part of a team-based customer support approach
  • Strong, positive team player who is open to learning, self-improvement and challenging themselves to grow professionally

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Maintain high-quality and accurate results during repetitive tasks (attention to detail is extremely important)
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple daily tasks
Qualifications include
  • Minimum of BSc in Agriculture, Animal Science or related discipline
  • General agriculture industry knowledge and/or experience would be beneficial
  • Understanding of formulation, ration/diet balancing, feed mill manufacturing and/or accounting software programs would be considered an asset. Feed formulation experience is beneficial
  • Understanding of CFIA, FeedAssure/HACCP, and Health Canada regulatory requirements would be viewed as an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams) and PDF applications
