We are currently looking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant III (term).Accountabilities: You will provide administrative support to the Lingan Generating Station team. The ideal candidate will have initiative, an appreciation for confidentiality, a strong work ethic and a dedication to quality. You will be required to perform at a high level of competency and independence. You will be responsible for interacting with staff, accountable for sorting mail, tracking/reporting/follow up on current programs and metrics, word processing, maintaining bulletin boards and organizing our safety program, filing, and ordering office supplies. You will process payroll, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders. In addition, you will prepare monthly reports, and other general administrative support duties.You will be responsible for personal safety, that of coworkers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.Skills, Capabilities and Experience: You have a grade XII education or equivalent, office administration training, and three to five years of related administrative experience. You have effective communication and organizational skills. You are a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to learn new processes and will become competent in the applications required for this position. You have strong analytical and quantitative skills and are attentive to detail. You are a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills. You have a sound knowledge of current office procedures and possess proficient typing and computer utilization skills. You have a good working knowledge of various software packages (i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project, and Oracle). Accounting and/or knowledge of statistics would be a definite asset.
