Job Title: Regional Sales ManagerLocation: Lloydminster, ABJob Overview: Reporting to the Sales Manager, as the Regional Sales Manager at Prairie AG, you will lead the sales operations across designated regions, focusing on strategic sales management, exceptional customer relationship stewardship, and robust financial oversight. This role is vital for achieving corporate sales targets and driving business growth in the Lloydminster and Vegreville regions.Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s short and long-term goals.

  • Oversee the creation of sales playbooks that detail effective tactics and strategies for market penetration and revenue growth. Ensure strategies are fully implemented and results are achieved.
Performance Management: Enhance team performance through clear metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regularly evaluate team performance against set goals. Implement performance management processes that include regular feedback, performance appraisals, and corrective actions to improve sales effectiveness.
Sales Development and Execution: Drive market share and revenue growth through proactive sales development and execution.
  • Lead market analysis, engage key accounts, and manage customer interactions to ensure sales targets are met. Focus on strategic account management to maximize revenue from high-value clients.
Customer Engagement and Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance engagement and loyalty.
  • Develop customer retention strategies and improve service delivery by understanding and meeting customer needs. Regularly interact with key clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Team Coaching and Development: Provide leadership and career development opportunities to the sales team.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge. Focus on building a knowledgeable and adaptable sales force.
  • Identify high-potential employees and create individual development plans. Implement a structured approach to prepare them for future leadership roles within the organization.
Collaborative Efforts: Ensure a unified approach to sales and customer solutions by fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Work closely with the marketing, customer service, and technical support departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Promote teamwork across departments to enhance customer service delivery.
Reporting and Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to guide sales strategies and improve decision-making.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions. Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market dynamics, and resource needs.
Financial Oversight: Manage and optimize the financial performance of the sales department.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, monitor spending, and make adjustments to align with financial goals.
  • Ensure team members understand the financial impact of their activities and decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Sciences, or related field, would be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales management within the agricultural or construction equipment industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of successfully managing and coaching sales teams.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
