Job Description

  • Responsible for “Residence Life”
  • Ensures the development of a strong Residence Community that promotes safety, good living and a sound learning environment
  • A wide variety of administrative, supervisory and leadership tasks that include; hiring training and supervision of 5 student residence life staff, residence student discipline, and the promotion and communication of residence life in the Residence Village
  • Advises students on issues pertaining to residence and makes referrals to a variety of College Services
  • Promotes student engagement to help with student retention
  • Acts as a first responder to emergency situations in residence
  • Works closely with the Vermilion Residence Life Facilitator
  • Assists in the hiring and supervision of residence summer caretakers (5)
  • This position reports directly to the Coordinator, Residence Services
Job Requirements
  • Two year diploma in a related field, Bachelors degree would be preferred
  • Five years’ related experience
  • The ability to work with young adults
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Some marketing skills
  • Experience with customer relationship management
  • Knowledge of software (StarRez, Portal X, Peoplesoft, Lenel)
  • Travel to the Vermilion campus one day per week
Additional InformationThis is a Full-time Temporary AUPE appointment on the Lloydminster campus commencing February 6, 2023 and ending February 23, 2024. The current salary range is $4,070.50 - $5,129.50 per month.Competition will remain open until January 13, 2023.
