SEAFOOD PROCESSING TEAM MEMBERS LOCATION: East Pubnico, NSSUMMARY Our customers love our products and we are committed to bringing them the very best. We produce top quality seafood and bait products for local and international customers.Comeau’s is searching for Seafood Processing Team Members who are hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic to join the Sea Life team located at our beautiful, oceanfront Sea Life Fisheries plant found in East Pubnico, Nova Scotia. Complete with plenty of fish stories.COMPLETE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IS PROVIDEDYOUR DAY: The seasonal position of a Seafood Processing Team Member supports a variety of Comeau’s product line needs including: fresh and frozen fillets, fresh and frozen bait, herring roe and pickled herring, while using state-of-the-art fish grading, filleting, and packaging equipment. All of our facilities maintain the highest level of hygiene and safety protocols to ensure both our products and employees are always safe.These roles are part of the critical hub that ensures smooth operation of all our processing and as such, we will provide all the necessary hands-on training needed to do the job well and to the high-quality standard our clients have come to expect.As a Seafood Processing Team Member, you will work with a tight-knit team to receive, process, pack and prepare seafood products relating to the production line as assigned. This requires the successful candidate to be attentive to detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will be committed to your role and quick to respond as needed are the required skills to be successful.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous production experience considered an asset
  • High level of pride in the work that you do
  • Reliable, punctual and ability to work to timelines
  • Positive, friendly and courteous
  • Have a strong work ethic and a ‘Can Do!’ attitude
  • Good verbal communication skills to maintain open dialogue with supervisor, and fellow

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Must also be able to climb, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl or work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
