About Lynn Lake ProjectAlamos Gold’s Lynn Lake Project is one the highest-grade open pit gold deposits in Canada. The Lynn Lake project is located in northern Manitoba and consists of two primary sites, MacLellan and Gordon, which are just east of the Town of Lynn Lake. With its low costs and excellent infrastructure already in place, the project represents a significant opportunity to drive the future growth of our business in Canada. If you are willing to be part of a team that is dedicated to growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability, we would like to hear from you!Environmental MonitorReporting to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Monitor will play a key supportive role in environmental monitoring programs, working closely with the Environmental Technician to assist with sample collection and fieldwork. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable in remote locations, and is experienced in operating off-road equipment. Travel to the site, along with room and board, will be provided by the company. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the outdoors and eager to contribute to environmental compliance in a remote, field-based position.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Environmental Technician with collecting air, water, soil, and other environmental samples
  • Help ensure samples are properly packaged and prepared for shipment to external laboratories
  • Operate and maintain field equipment (if qualified) such as ATVs, snowmobiles, and boats
  • Perform basic maintenance on sampling pumps, generators, and other field equipment
  • Support data collection activities, including the use of GPS and data loggers
  • Adhere to safety and quality control protocols during all fieldwork
  • Assist with environmental inspections and investigations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Federal, Provincial, and Indigenous Nation agreements
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Grade 12 diploma required
  • Experience working in remote or outdoor environments
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions and remote outdoor environments
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of fieldwork, including hiking and carrying equipment
  • Ability to operate off-road vehicles and outdoor equipment (ATVs, snowmobiles, boats)
  • Comfortable working around helicopters for fieldwork
  • Strong focus on health and safety practices
  • Driver’s license preferred
  • Basic knowledge of environmental sampling processes (education in environmental studies is an asset but not required)
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and challenging outdoor conditions
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
