Job Description

Duties:

  • Assist in performing necessary and scheduled maintenance in a timely manner
  • Assists in the maintenance and minor repairs to heating, ventilation systems, air conditioning systems and equipment
  • Assists with general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping
  • Prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Assists with performing routine inspections of properties to check maintenance problems
  • Performs grounds related functions as may be required for the purpose of preserving grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition.
  • May be assigned to work at other company properties / locations
  • Any other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of standard practices and procedures of construction trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems a great asset
  • Experience in performing general building maintenance
  • Able to follow verbal and written instruction
  • Certified in operation of forklift an asset
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and general understating of functions and operations of fabrication equipment.
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts
