We are looking for a full-time Family Physician for a three year term to join the primary care physician group in Maidstone, SK, North West Area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). Maidstone Medical Clinic and Health Complex works with individuals and families through innovation and partnerships in a holistic manner to achieve optimal levels of health. The team comprises of 4 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, as well as Community Services including Addictions, Public Health Nursing, Nutrition and Food Services, Home Care Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes/Cardiac) visiting specialists and other allied health professionals. As part of the Primary Care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical outpatient, inpatient, ER, long-term care and on-call services to residents of Maidstone and area. The Maidstone Medical Clinic and Health Complex is an Outpatient clinic with Special Care Home attached (long term care). Extended hours Mondays to Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. This site is a Collaborative Emergency Center. The CEC provides urgent care after hours with the support of telehealth and offsite paramedicine services.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage.In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the North West Area.Work remotely
