Join the team at Malahat SkyWalk, where breathtaking views meet exceptional guest experiences!Position OverviewMalahat SkyWalk is a premier Vancouver Island destination, attracting guests from across Canada and around the world. In 2026, we are focused on expanding tourism partnerships to grow our B2B revenue and increase international and domestic visitation. We #39;re seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist with a proven track record in tourism industry sales, destination marketing, and partnership development-someone who can hit the ground running, leverage industry connections, and think strategically to deliver results.Reporting to the Senior Director of Salesamp; Marketing, you will build, manage, and grow partnerships across the tourism industry-including cruise lines, OTAs, tour operators, travel trade partners, schools, and group markets.You #39;ll lead outreach in key international markets (Asia, South Asia, Europe, and the U.S.), represent the attraction at trade shows and familiarization (FAM) tours, and develop initiatives that bring visitors directly to our doors. You #39;ll also manage the Concierge/Frontline Tourism Referral Program, an incentive program that strengthens relationships with local hotels, visitor centres, and frontline ambassadors to drive direct referrals and ticket sales.This role requires someone who can manage the entire B2B sales process-from market development to closing partnerships-and ensure seamless communication between external partners and internal teams. You #39;ll also work closely with the Marketingamp; Brand Manager to align B2B initiatives with seasonal campaigns that support our monthly visitation goals.Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) In this role, you will:

  • Drive B2B revenue growth from tourism partners (KPI: increase visitation from group/tour segments)
  • Expand into key international markets through strategic outreach and relationship building
  • Represent Malahat SkyWalk at trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and partner meetings
  • Host and lead high-quality FAM tours for trade and media partners
  • Manage the Concierge/Frontline Tourism Referral Program, including incentives, engagement, and tracking results
  • Maintain regular communication with B2B partners and internal teams to ensure partnership success
  • Negotiate agreements and secure commitments from new and existing partners
  • Collaborate with the Marketingamp; Brand Manager to integrate B2B efforts into seasonal campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze sales performance against targets
  • Travel as needed for trade shows, missions, and partner visits; on-site presence required for partner visits, group arrivals, and activations
Required Experience, Abilities and Qualifications What We #39;re Looking ForTo excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • 5+ years of proven success in tourism industry sales or business development, with emphasis on destination marketing
  • Experience developing and growing international markets (Asia, South Asia, Europe, and the U.S.)
  • Strong, active network of travel trade and tourism industry contacts
  • Experience creating and executing sales strategies for B2B tourism products
  • Skilled in negotiations, partnership development, and account management
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage sales pipelines and accounts
  • Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Comfortable with both independent work and cross-functional collaboration
Asset QualificationsThe following qualification is not mandatory; however, it is preferred and will be considered an asset:
  • Knowledge of the Victoria and Vancouver Island tourism market (preferred)
Work Conditions
  • This is a full-time, on-site position with travel required for sales missions, trade shows, and partner visits.
  • This position requires flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
