The experience includes a Welcome Centre, a 600-metre accessible treetop walk through a beautiful coastal forest leading to a 10-storey architecturally stunning Spiral Tower offering unparalleled views of southern Vancouver Island. Join the team at Malahat SkyWalk, where breathtaking views meet exceptional guest experiences!Position OverviewA Malahat SkyWalk Guest Experience Agent is responsible for engaging guests in a professional, prompt, and friendly manner in accordance with the company policies under the supervision of the Guest Experience Supervisor and Shift Leads. They will be a great team player, ensuring professional engagement with guests by being the first face of their experience and will provide guest service by connecting and communicating with people effectively and politely. Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) In this role, you will:

  • Operate the ticket Point of Sales system (POS), handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Provide guest services by mail, phone, email, and in person appropriately
  • Assist the Guest Experience Supervisor and Shift Lead with daily cash in and cash out procedures, balancing cash floats, report management and handling radio communication
  • Assist guests with both online and over-the-phone purchases including gift cards and online tickets
  • Offer an exceptional Malahat SkyWalk experience by engaging guests proactively, identifying enjoyment opportunities, and exceeding guest expectations
  • Answer questions and concerns about Malahat SkyWalk elements (activities) and Park experiences by providing guests with accurate information regarding park elements, products, pricing, and park facilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean Guest Experience environment for team members and guests
  • Ensure personal compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Support other Malahat SkyWalk departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience, Abilities and Qualifications To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • The ability to provide first-rate guest service in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments
  • The ability to work independently with guidance from the Guest Experience Supervisor and Lead
  • The ability to operate a POS system
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Team player
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Asset QualificationsThe following qualifications are not mandatory; however, they are preferred and will be considered assets:
  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • BC FOODSAFE Level 1 and BC Serving It Right certifications.
  • Basic First Aid (OFA Level 1)
Work Conditions
  • This position requires flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • Cross-training in other departments will be required to support the overall guest experience at Malahat SkyWalk. You will also be required to learn about our location, its history, foliage and geography, etcetera in order to answer questions from our guests.
  • This position requires working in variable weather conditions.
