Job Description

Official Position Title: think4D Project SpecialistThe role of the Project Specialist is primarily to serve as the liaison between the Sales and Production departments and the customer. You will deal with the customer complaints, inquiries and process transactions. You will follow established policies and procedures when providing customer service.Friesens Corporation is located in Altona, Manitoba. The successful applicant will be required to work in the office.The successful applicant will work 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.Friesens Corporation offers a Comprehensive Benefits Package, Employee Ownership, and Profit Sharing.Requirements:

  • Post secondary education in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working in an administration role in project management or customer service preferred
  • Experience with Packaging materials an asset
  • Digital Literacy particularly related to spreadsheets, documents and information systems
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing with customers and all levels of staff, including technical, professional and management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated with proven leadership skills
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Demonstrated organization, prioritizing, time and stress management skills
  • Highly motivated and able to lead by example
  • Sound leadership and team building skills

  • Expectation of up to 5 hours of overtime per week
  • Travel is required
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring territory activity and job status to keep projects moving smoothly from customer to final production
  • Pro-actively working with the customers and sales staff to navigate through issues like jobs on-hold, proofs outstanding, prototypes and dates not met
  • Communicating with customers and sales staff via e-mail, telephone, mail or in person regarding orders
  • Interpreting instructions from customer and ensuring information is accurate and viable to be used. Communicating closely with others to ensure accurate information is used to produce an order
  • Keeping the manager informed of any potential problem areas. Working with manager in ensuring that work flows into production in a timely manner
  • Answering questions from production, customers and sales staff as required regarding deliveries, deadlines or technical information required producing a component of a project
  • Ensuring accuracy of customer supplied information and files
  • Recording quality concerns on appropriate reports and forwarding the same to production for follow through. Ensuring sales staff and customers are informed of the response
  • Conduct tours for customer or potential customers as required
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned
  • General office duties as required
  • Taking ownership of customer work once it enters the plant and ensuring that the packaging project runs smoothly and according to schedule
  • Providing exceptional, courteous and reliable customer service to customers and internal staff
