Human Resources Administrator: Job Description*Boart Longyear is an integrated drilling services and drilling products provider, producing, manufacturing and operating equipment for the minerals industry, with a drilling presence in water exploration, environmental sampling, energy and oil sands exploration. The Company operates in Asia Pacific, Canada, USA, South America, Europe and Africa.We are currently seeking a self-motivated Human Resources Administrator to fill a position that will be based in North Bay, Ontario.   • Inputting employee information into our Oracle Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Updating and maintaining employee personnel files
  • Gather and process documentation
  • Data entry
  • Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.
  • Sorts and forwards mail as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the North American HR Team and supervisors as needed.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, including pre-screens and interviews.
  • Operates general office equipment such as personal computer, scanner, copies, calculator, fax or other office machines.

  • Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently, performing well under pressure, and meeting deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional organization skills to work in this fast-paced environment
  • Oracle experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills -- written and verbal (French is an asset).
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Possess strong IT and customer service skills
  • Previous experience with an HRIS system an asset.
  • Knowledge of mining industry is an asset.
