8 week contract under Canada Summer Jobs Funding – beginning November 8th, 2021 and/or beginning January 3rd, 2022Plan and facilitate activities and programs focused on environmental education, nature awareness, outdoor technology (GPS), hiking, wilderness survival skills, etc…as part of our the CEC’s fall/winter program offerings (in-person, outreach and virtual). This will include working with a variety of age levels including school aged children (K-12), family events, corporate and individual based programs.Eligibility – Candidates must be Canadian Citizens and under the age of 30. Successful candidates will be currently enrolled in/or have completed studies in the field of science, environment, outdoor recreation, and/or similar areas of study. The position requires some basic knowledge of ecology, experience working with youth and some applicable certifications (ie. SFA/CPR, Wilderness First Aid). Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset. Evening and weekend work will be required at times. Accommodations are included as part of the contract. Proof of double vaccination is a requirement for employment.For students in post secondary.
