ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITYCanadian Base Operators Meafords team is growing! If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.The Facilities Helper is located in Meaford, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Facilities Manager. Their primary focus is to provide support and assistance to the Maintenance Mechanics, Carpenter, and Target Builder.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understands the correct use, safety and maintenance of hand and power tools related to this type of work.
  • Repairs
  • Major building elements
  • Membrane and shingle roof systems
  • Window, door, and related hardware
  • Lock sets and cuts keys
  • Various floor coverings
  • Bathroom partitions and hardware
  • Wall coverings and painted surfaces
  • Standby duty as required
  • Performs other tasks assigned by manager

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must possess Reliability Clearance or be eligible to obtain one
  • Possess a valid class ‘G drivers license, or provincial/territorial equivalent
  • Must possess serviceable steel toe safety boots that meet standards for workplace safety
