Job Description

As part of the largest specialty contractor in North America, QCR is committed to building a sustainable future through safe, efficient, and innovative infrastructure solutions.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This includes wiring, conduit installation, grounding equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards. The Electrician works closely with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met.RequirementsESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Electrical Installationamp; Maintenance
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, terminations, splicing, conduit, fixtures, and control systems.
  • Perform electrical inspections and testing to ensure systems are functioning properly and safely.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Safetyamp; Compliance
  • Adhere to Quanta #39;s Capacity Program, all company and site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained within equipment manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Team Collaborationamp; Communication
  • Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, engineers, and other trades to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure alignment of project goals and timelines.
  • Support other team members as needed to meet project objectives.
SKILLS:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician in a construction environment.
  • Valid electrician certifications and licenses as required by provincial regulations.
  • Experience working on renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This is a field-based position requiring work in varying weather conditions and terrain.
  • Travel to project sites across Canada is required.
  • Extended hours and weekend work may be necessary based on project demands.
  • Potential Living Out Allowance (LOA) allowance or temporary camp available.
