Job Description

Grasslands News Group has an opening for a full-time permanent Advertising Sales Rep, who will be responsible for advertising sales for Grasslands News. The successful candidate will become part of the Grasslands News Group team that operates community newspapers in Melville, Fort QuAppelle, Whitewood/Grenfell, Indian Head and Kipling. You will play an integral role in the success and growth of our company and focus on delivering quality customer service to clients and providing them with advertising opportunities to service their needs.As Advertising Sale Rep, you will:

  • Develop and maintain sales revenues and customer service
  • Create and implement sales strategies to generate new business
  • Ensure accurate and consistent service to clients to achieve maximum client satisfaction
  • Assist in the development of sales targets and sales materials
  • Develop new revenue initiatives in a competitive market
  • Be able to analyze sales patterns and adjust sales approach accordingly
  • Ensure appropriate cross-selling and up-selling
  • Assist with delivery of publication when necessary
As Advertising Sale Rep, you will have:
  • Excellent written/verbal communication
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Proven leadership in achieving sales, including developing new business
  • Ability to identify potential opportunities for initiatives and growth
  • Approachable, enthusiastic and open-minded to the views of staff and peers
  • A strong sense of professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with a computer and ability to learn software
  • Travel is a requirement of this position and thus the successful candidate must have a valid drivers license. A company vehicle will be provided.
