Job Description

What youll do:Reporting to the Team Manager, Enterprise Services, this position is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing and coding programs of Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation’s (SCIC’s) systems, with a focus on our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Provide Business Systems Analysis by taking high level business requirements and composing detailed solution requirements for application software implementation.
  • Design and develop integrations between Oracle, other On-Premise and Cloud Applications.
  • Provide software development by writing, unit testing, and maintaining application software.
  • Identify and analyze problems, proposing alternatives and implementing solutions with respect to both manual processes and application software.
  • Work closely with SCICs external delivery partners in supporting our ERP systems.
  • Work jointly with SCIC security team, defining security roles as required for ERP systems.
  • Conduct application software impact analysis, presenting alternatives, recommendations and estimates.
  • May provide leadership and act as a liaison between business and systems development, recommending software solutions and application development processes, and providing work estimates for application development.
  • Keep up to date with the current ERP technology and best practice, to ensure SCIC capitalizes on key functionality of the the given system and future opportunities.
Qualifications:To be successful in this position you need a diploma or degree in Computer Science with a minimum of two years’ experience in computer programming and systems’ analysis in a business environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Oracle ERP Cloud experience in multiple modules which may include: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Suppliers, Expenses, Enterprise Contracts, Human Capital Management (HCM), Recruitment, Talent Management, Payroll.
  • Familiarity with processes such as Procure to Pay, Record to Report and/or Hire to Retire.
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle Business Intelligence, OTBI and BI Publisher.
  • Experience in building integrations using middleware applications, such as Oracle Integration Cloud, SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, to effectively connect as a liaison between key networks such as system stakeholders, implementation partners and third party product support.
  • Knowledge and experience in Business Analysis, to translate business requirements into functioning solution.
  • Knowledge of database structure, data integrity and data modelling as it relates to application software development; Understanding of SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write high performing SQL to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in object oriented programming; preference with a background using .Net or Java.
  • Experience with EPM suite of products including Narrative Reporting (EPRCS) considered an asset.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services for source control and backlog management considered an asset.

  • Should the successful candidate participate in the Crop Insurance or AgriStability Pro-grams, their account must be in good standing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel throughout the province when necessary.
