Job Description

General LabourerEstablished in 1993, FTS is a full service fabrication, millwrighting and CNC machining company specializing in the design, manufacture and installation of custom products and equipment. FTS has developed a strong reputation for working with stainless steel and aluminum; although this does not deter us from working with other metals or plastics.We have an immediate opening for a Full Time General Labourer - Day Shift.Why join us

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Off loading and receiving raw materials
  • Operating a CNC band saw and cutting materials to size as per drawing/information provided
  • De-burring metal parts
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading finished goods on trailers and trucks
  • Assisting our skilled tradespeople while gaining experience to different trades (Welding, Fabricating, polishing, millwrighting, etc.)
  • Maintaining an organized and safe work area
To be successful, you will need:
  • Experience in an industrial setting (preferred)
  • Lift truck experience (preferred)
  • Prior experience using power and hand tools
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving
  • Manual dexterity, frequent bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, squeezing, pulling, and pushing
  • Able to lift up to 50 lb
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (no bus route available)
