Job PurposeImplement and manage quality systems and lead continuous improvement activity. Ensure quality and technical objectives are properly deployed. Supervise activities and training of quality technicians.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand, enforce and follow safety rules and regulationsLead, Train, and participate in the development of plant Quality Control Technicians.Design and implement procedures to support and improve Quality initiativesCollect and Review technical data and make recommendations for Process ImprovementsEnsure plant compliance with all 3rd party auditing agencies, internal product specifications, and Corporate Quality policies.Manage quality records, databases, and controlled documents in accordance with Corporate record retention policies.Organize product test trials and report results as required.Assume responsibilities of Quality Manager in their absence.Perform other duties as necessary.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proven ability to lead and supervise peopleKnowledge of Engineered Wood manufacturing processesUnderstanding of APA codes and compliance standards,Strong computer skills with proficiency in ExcelAbility to communicate effectively in oral and written formEducation and Experience:ASQ Certification is an Asset5+ years supervisory and/or quality-related experience desiredAdequate combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilitiesWork EnvironmentThe lab and manufacturing environment includes exposure to moving parts, fumes, chemicals, airborne particles and high temperatures.The employee must have the ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, work in inclement weather, and work with elevated noise levels.The position requires the ability to frequently lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Quick Apply
