Role and Responsibilities#LI-ND1(English will follow)Rôle et Responsabilités

• Participer aux projets qui permettent doptimiser lefficacité opérationnelle du chasseur CF-18.
• Ajouter de nouvelles fonctionnalités et améliorer les capacités existantes des ordinateurs de mission du CF-18, dans les domaines suivants:
  • Systèmes d’armement Air-Sol et balistique
  • Missiles air-air;
  • Radar;
  • Interrogateur transponder combiné

• Participer à toutes les phases du développement logiciel, incluant: analyse du problème, définition des besoins, conception, modélisation, programmation, intégration, test et qualification
• Opportunité de travailler avec les spécialistes opérationnels (pilotes de CF-18) et membres des Forces Canadiennes
• Supporter les Forces Canadiennes lors des exercices militaires

Exigences

• Baccalauréat/Maîtrise en génie mécanique / électrique / aéronautique / logiciel / informatique.
• 0-5 ans dexpérience.
• Aptitudes à communiquer en français et en anglais (tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit) dans le domaine technique.
• Aptitude à l’auto apprentissage.
• Aptitude à travailler au sein d’une équipe multidisciplinaire et à interagir avec différents groupes.
• Expérience en programmation.

Atouts

• Intérêt pour l’aéronautique, l’avionique, et le fonctionnement des systèmes d’avions.
• Expérience en développement, en intégration ou en essai de logiciels en temps réel embarqués.
• Comprendre la modélisation mathématique et les algorithmes de calcul basés sur la mécanique du vol.
• Assembleur, Matlab, C/C++/C#, Unix.
• Apprentissage machine / Intelligence Artificielle

Requis Opérationnels

• Doit être éligible à l’enregistrement au programme des marchandises contrôlées.
• Doit être éligible à l’obtention et au maintien de la cote de fiabilité du gouvernement du Canada, et de la cote de sécurité niveau 2 (secret).
• Les travaux seront effectués majoritairement à Mirabel (occasionnellement à Ville Saint Laurent). Le lieu de travail principal n’est pas accessible via les transports en commun. Une voiture est requise.

• Participate in projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-18 fighter aircraft.
• Provide new functionalities and improve existing capabilities for the mission computers in the CF-18 aircraft in the areas of:
  • Air-to-ground Armament systems and ballistics
  • Air-to-Air missiles
  • Radar
  • Combined Interrogator and Transponder
• Participate in all phases of software development, including: Problem Analysis; Requirements Definition; Design; Modeling; Coding; Integration; Test; Qualification.
• Opportunity to work with operational specialists (CF-18 pilots) and members of Canadian Forces.
• Support Canadian Forces during military exercises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in engineering: Mechanical / Electrical / Aeronautical / Software / Computer.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate either in French or English (oral and written) on a technical subject.
• Ability to self-learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to interact with different multidisciplinary groups.
• Programming experience.

Assets

• Interest in aeronautics, avionics, and aircraft systems operation.
• Experience in development, integration, testing or debugging of real-time embedded software.
• Understanding of mathematical models and algorithms based on flight mechanics.
• Assembly, Matlab, C/C++/C# programming, Unix.
• Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.

Operational Requirements

• Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program
• Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance
• Work will be performed mostly in Mirabel (occasionally in Saint-Laurent). Main work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
