Although the industries we proudly serve are some of most time-honored, our spirited culture encourages bold ideas, which consistently create new opportunities for each other.Job DescriptionA Yardman is responsible for completing the following duties:• Maintain outside materials and equipment handling needs• Snow removal and winter maintenance of yard area• Inform supervisor of progress on a regular, predetermined basis• Complete tasks within predefined parameters according to job needs• Work area and equipment are clean and orderly, well-maintained• Use forklift, overhead crane, and shunt truck to move and position parts, subassemblies, and completed equipment when required• Keep yard organized and free of extra pallets, steel, etc.• Perform necessary outside final assembly, inspections and staging as needed• Work with outbound and inbound truck freight loading and unloading• Other duties as assignedQualifications• Understanding of basic “in-shop” assembly routines• Knowledge of safe operating and lifting procedures for all equipment• Read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on tape measure• Convert feet / inches• Forklift experience/certificate• Class 1 drivers license required• Previous snowplowing experience considered an assetExpectations of Employees• Uphold company core values• Maintain a clean and organized work area• Utmost attention to safety• Good attendance and punctuality• Concern for quality• Attention to detailTraits of Successful Employees• Exhibition of good communication skills when working with fellow employees• Ability to tolerate physical demands of the position• Ability to complete tasks according to planned schedule• Willingness to help out where neededEmployee Benefits• Weekly paycheck• Boot reimbursements up to $155• Company paid prescription safety glasses• Medical, dental, and vision insurance - company covers 75% of premiums• Company paid short-term and long-term disability• Company paid life insurance• Paid vacation and holiday• RRSP with 3% company match• On the spot bonuses up to $100Learn more about Superior IndustriesLocation: 26 General Manson Way, Miramichi, NB E1N 6L1, Canada
